Reasons Your State Agency Created Resume

Might Not Get Noticed

Many persons have filed for unemployment recently through their local state workforce office. When filing for their claims, they are often required to attend a workshop and complete a resume which they can then fax or electronically submit to employers. The problem with this type of agency created resume is that the resume is often created in cookie cutter format making all resumes appear the same.
Although the information in each resume is as different as the individual submitting it, the resume may be picked up by the employer at the fax machine or from the computer and because it looks like ten others he or she has received that day or the day before be tossed to the side and not viewed. In order to stand out to the employer, each resume must be not only individual in content but in appearance. Try working the resume format differently – it may be that you begin getting those all important interview calls.
